WHICH BATHROOM STALL SHOULD YOU USE?
Before a round of golf or between nines, it’s not unusual to visit the restroom. Which stall to use might be the least of your worries particularly when you’ve just missed a 4-foot putt. But consider this: health issues cross over every conceivable category even what bathroom stall to use. Want to take a guess on which stall is the safest for you to use?
If your tendency is to go to one of the farthest stalls for privacy, that’s probably the one with the most germs. Because most people use faraway stalls to “do there thing,” the first stall is used least and that’s the one with the least amount of bacteria which reduces your chances of getting sick, according to Allison Janse, author of The Germ Freak’s Guide to Outwitting Colds and Flu.
Menshealth.com confirms the first stall is the safest, “After analyzing 51 public restrooms, experts found that the stall closest to the restroom door consistently had the lowest bacteria levels (and the most toilet paper!).”
Janse also suggests keeping your belongings off the floor, which has more fecal matter than anywhere else in the restroom.
